Because in this case, the majority of the time is, “I don’t want to.” We all have such a hard time saying no to something that we do.
It’s true. Most of us just have a hard time saying no. We don’t want to commit to something that we don’t want to do, because we don’t want to commit to it. It’s like we just choose not to say yes. We just don’t want to say yes to something that we don’t want to do.
For example, I refuse to say yes to a job interview. I try to avoid them, but I know I have to say yes if I want that job. I dont want to say no, because then I wont have the job. I dont want to say yes to anything because it’s just too upsetting or embarrassing. I just dont want to say yes to something that I dont really want to do.
I am not saying you should say yes to every possible job opportunity (because every job opportunity will probably come with some sort of deadline or penalty), but you should say yes to a lot of them. This could help you avoid the negative effects of saying yes (like a job interview being canceled, or having a job interview that is so depressing you become ill). Also, you should always say yes to a job opportunity that you are interested in.
